Classes
38-Hour Course
The following documents are required to begin the
38-hour driver’s education course:
- Copy of student’s birth certificate
NOTE: The student must be between 15 and 19 for the classroom portion
of the training and at least 15 years old for behind-the-wheel training.
- Completed registration form (click here to access)
- Payment of $275
- Pen or pencil and a highlighter (handbook will be provided)
6-Hour Pre-License Course
This course is for ages 17 and above and is held on the first Saturday of each month (providing there are a minimum of 10 students enrolled). Cost is $45. Please call for additional details.
Third-Party Testing
Ouachita Driving Academy is the only school in West Monroe certified by the State Department of Motor Vehicles to administer the state driving test. With ODA, you don’t have to wait in line or take off work to take the driving portion of the test. Call and schedule your appointment with us. Cost is $30 using your own vehicle, or you can arrange to use an ODA car for an additional $25.
Duplicate Certificate of Completion
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to the
student upon successful completion of the 38-hour course. To order
a duplicate copy of the certificate, send a check or money order for
$10 to Ouachita Driving Academy (click
here for the address). Please write the student’s name in
the Memo portion of the check and indicate the date of the training.
Behind-the-Wheel Training Only
Behind-the-Wheel training is included in the 38-hour
course; however, if you would like to take this training independent
of the classroom training, the prices are listed below (payment must
be made in advance):
- $80 for 1-1/2 hours (minimum billable hours)
- $150 for 3 hours
- $290 for 6 hours
